![]() Later in the morning, I took Zinnie to be put down. I said to Rocket doubtfully, “Wow, what if we could get a rescue Ragdoll!?” All of my adopted pets must be rescues. A lot of the photos that came up were of a breed called a “Ragdoll”. Cats with blue eyes, an easy going personality, fluffy, and with lovely coloring. Just to push the fantasy all the way, I went online and started looking up the most beautiful and sweet cat breeds I could imagine. To cheer myself up, I said to Rocket, “Let’s look at what kind of kitty we will get next,” thinking that it would be months down the line before I would feel like adopting another cat again. That morning before the euthanasia appointment, Zinnie was sleeping in the other room, and Rocket was with me on the sofa. Fortunately, my wonderful vet was right next door to my apartment building. In the spring of 2019, Zinnie fell ill and it was discovered that she had an inoperable tumor and that I was going to have to put her down. They got along great and both of them were two-toned short haired “mutts” and rescue cats. I had two adorable cats who brought me much joy, Zinnie, age sixteen, and Rocket, age two. Then I began to once again put the law of attraction into practice. I had read The Secret and seen The Secret movie years before but decided to give the movie another look. My relationships with family and friends weren’t going well. ![]() I worked as an adjunct professor and as a freelance artist and could barely make ends meet. In 2018, my life was a bit of a struggle.
